I'm Heather Barkey, the founder of Abundant Joy Life & Leadership Coaching. For the past 10 years, I've been serving leaders and faith-filled moms, helping them implement effective systems in their businesses and foster healthy rhythms and peace in their homes and relationships

I'm passionate about helping women live with the joy & peace that God intended for them to have.

Craig, my hubby of 25 years, and I live in Auburn, Indiana with our four kids ranging from 13 to 23, and our brand new daughter-in-law. We love our 110-pound puppy named Smallz, adventures with our family, riding bikes, and taking walks at night through our small town.

Craig and I are active members of our local church and enjoy serving and mentoring married couples there.

Why I Started Coaching

As a young adult in a small conservative church, I saw grown women living with a bitter root. They grumbled. They complained. They sought out the wrong in other people, and often voiced it. I knew from afar, that is NOT what I wanted for my life. I sought & researched joy, seeking to live life with the peace and joy that the Bible talked about in Romans 5:13: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace.

True joy does not come because life is easy. Like so many, I have lived through hard circumstances. In the throes of an excruciating divorce, watching those close to me battle addiction, and experiencing hurt from people I love, God showed me true joy along with a deep compassion for others.

My eyes have been opened to two needs I feel I can help meet:

I see moms living with great guilt, shame, and unhealthy thoughts. My heart aches to help them feel the truth of who God says they are.
As a top leader in network marketing I've seen stressed-out, hot-mess leadership in abundance and the lack of high quality business training that integrated faith values.

With a sincere heart for women and a calling to do more,

My Goal

I want to come alongside women to create healthy rhythms in their home, relationships, and businesses. As your coach, I'm willing to tackle the hard stuff with you, including thought patterns and habits that don't serve you well. For those with a home business, my coaching can help put systems into place so you can live and work with great joy and success.

My deep desire is to see women healthy, healed, and whole in Christ. Imagine walking confidently into your space, ready to serve those within your influence. My Experience

I've spent the last 10 years helping moms and women in business grow and step into leadership. I have invested thousands of dollars in my own personal business coaching only to find myself disappointed with the lack of Christian values. I want to provide high end business coaching rooted in Biblical principles. As God called me into coaching at a larger capacity, I have acquired certifications through the Social Selling Leadership School and International Christian Coaching Institute.
